IDM Associates (IDMA)

Interdevelopmental Associates is the consulting arm of IDM. Its primary purpose is to put IDM teachings to optimal practical use, not only in coaching and consultation, but also in facilitating the developmental assessment of groups of people through internet-based automation using e-learning technology.

IDMA Associates come from different countries and backgrounds, and speak various languages. All Associates have gone through IDM Program One, if not Program Two as well. Minimally, they hold the Certificate of Developmental Coaching/Consulting as integral part of their professional education.

At the present time, centers of IDMA activity exist in the northeastern US, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany. The most important topics of IDMA activity presently are:

  • Teaching the Constructive-Developmental Framework
  • Developmental assessment of individuals, teams, and groups
  • Evidence-based developmental coaching and mentoring
  • Capability management consultation in public institutions (e.g., European Commission)
  • Establishing internal coaching programs in public and for-profit organizations
  • Automation of CDF in collaboration with an international e-learning company

Jon Ebersole

Jon Ebersole photoJon Ebersole founded and directs Dialogue Services GmbH, a Swiss company that offers developmental coaching, group facilitation and alternative dispute resolution. His career includes both headquarters (NYC, Geneva, Paris) and field positions (Africa & Middle East) for international organizations including the United Nations, OECD, World Conference on Religion and Peace, The Aspen Institute, National Council of Churches and the Mennonite Central Committee. His present clients are primarily executives in international organizations and companies whom he advises based on adult-developmental assessment combined with his broad understanding of organizations.

Jon’s education is international and extensive. Beginning with a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies, Mr. Ebersole's training includes an MA in Cultural Anthropology focusing on communication and conflict, and an MSc in International Public Administration. He has been an Adjunct Fellow of the Center for International Studies of the NYU School of Law, a Stein Scholar in Ethics and Public Interest Law at Fordham University School of Law, and a theology student in Stuttgart, Germany. He is currently completing doctoral research on using developmental assessments in the finance industry at the Institute for Leadership and Personnel Management, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Pia Neiwert

Pia Neiwert photoPia Neiwert, Berlin, Germany, holds a degree in Adult Education in Organizations and Management from the University of Münster, Northern Germany. She is further licensed as a music therapist. In 2008, Pia was certified by the Interdevelopmental Institute as a Developmental Coach/Consultant, based on a comprehensive case study.

For her German thesis, Pia developed and put into practice, as well as elaborated, a coaching concept deriving from arts education. She used and refined this concept in her work with business start-ups. She also researched how music therapy methods could be introduced in trainings and coaching for professional development. Her German thesis was recently published as a book.

Pia’s most recent work has been at the Institute for Continued Education and Evidence-Based Pedagogy, University of Münster, with an emphasis on evaluation, organizational development and consulting. Her focus lies in working on communication, networking and project management strategies with clients in the academic field or in public administration.


Mirna Pérez Piris

The company is focused on providing organizations and individuals the highest level of executive coaching to achieve desired outcomes. Mirna is a Certified Executive Coach with Leadership Coaching Certification from Georgetown University, Washington DC; a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation. She is presently pursuing a Certificate of Developmental Assessment from the Interdevelopmental Institute. Her professional degrees include a Bachelor and Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, a Leadership Program based in Social and Emotional Intelligence, and is certified in the Leadership Forecast Series “Hogan Assessments.”

Mirna works with corporate executives who want to achieve focus and direction in their professional career. Her work is founded on energetic insight, strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. She has worked as an Executive Coach with various multinational companies in the fields of pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, technology, distribution, services and non-profit organizations, providing coaching at various levels including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, Financial Directors and others.

In addition to Executive Coaching, Mirna has experience in the fields of training and development, management, insurance, and marketing, along with academic knowledge in human resources. She has over 20 years of experience working with multinational clients and has served as liaison on behalf of her clients between the countries of United Kingdom, United States, Puerto Rico and México. On the academic, she has offered the course “Coaching: An Effective Tool for Human Development” at the Iberoamericana University, Human Development Master Program.

Based in Mexico and due to her experience living and working with different cultures, she has broad cross-cultural knowledge. Doug Stuart

Doug Stewart photoDOUGLAS STUART, Ph.D., Director of Intercultural Training, oversees IOR’s training services worldwide and is responsible for the quality of both the curriculum and delivery of services. Doug has considerable expertise in assessment instruments for the global workforce and is certified to deliver a variety of tools, including the Intercultural Development Inventory, Culture in the Workplace Inventory, Global Teams Process Questionnaire, and The International Profiler. Doug also provides executive intercultural coaching and works closely with professionals from a broad array of industry sectors and nationalities.

He is a frequent speaker on global talent management trends and issues and also publishes articles, most recently a chapter on intercultural assessment instruments in the 2009 SAGE publication, Contemporary Leadership and Intercultural Competence: exploring the cross-cultural dynamics within organizations.

Prior to joining IOR, Dr. Stuart served as an educational specialist in Andersen Worldwide’s Performance Consulting group at the Center for Professional Education. Dr. Stuart’s background in international education includes full-time faculty positions in the Humanities Department at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois, and the Economics Institute of the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, as well as language training program management positions in Algeria and the United Arab Emirates.

His international work experience also includes Germany, Egypt, and Vietnam. Dr. Stuart earned his doctoral degree in linguistics from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and pursued post-graduate studies at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, and in transpersonal psychology at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. He is currently completing a Master Certification as a Developmental Coach/Consultant with the Interdevelopmental Institute.

Alper Tenguez

Alper Tenguez photoAlper Tenguez is an indepedent consultant and an expert in the design and execution of management development and large-scale organization development programs. He works for global corporations in Europe and the Middle East and is affiliated with the Goethe Business School in Frankfurt, Germany.

His client work includes executive coaching and faciliation of peer learning groups particularly in international context. In his prior career Alper gathered substantial global and private/public sector experience as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company. Alper is an alumni of the University of Michigan, USA (Bachelor, Master in Industrial Engineering) and Goethe University, Frankfurt (Development Economics).


Iva Vurdelja

Iva Vurdelja photoIva Vurdelja has over 20 years of business executive and consulting experience in Europe and the United States. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Leadership and Change at Antioch University where she applies the IDM Constructive Developmental Framework (CDF) in her research on integrative thinking of change leaders.

Prior to pursuing her scholarly interests, she developed a keen understanding of leadership issues and challenges as a practitioner while serving as a senior consultant in organization development and change management for a large multinational consulting firm. In this role she was helping both business and not-for-profit organizations identify their strategic objectives and executing strategies. She was also a visiting faculty at Thunderbird University MBA program in Geneva, Switzerland.

Iva received a MS degree in Organization Development from Loyola University Chicago and a BA degree in business from DePaul University in Chicago.
